Growing up in rural Minnesota, I wasn’t introduced to fashion or jewelry design until I discovered the topics myself. As soon as I found out I could make and design clothing for a living I knew what I wanted to do.
After graduating from Buffalo High School I enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. I quickly found my passion in fashion and metalsmithing.
In just a short amount of time, Stout has shown me what it takes to be in the fashion industry and the work that is required to be successful. The open learning environment has pushed me to establish my own personal design style and technique.
In the future, I want to be somewhere that gives me the freedom to be creative and design expertise.
Once I graduate from Stout I plan to pursue my Master’s degree out of the country. Doing this would give me the opportunity to keep learning and pushing myself as a designer and artist.
